Aleksi Hakanto is an osteopath, a sports masseur, and a Certified Personal Trainer. Aleksi has 12 years of experience from professional sports and has worked with the highest level of athletes and teams in Finland.

Currently Aleksi works with the Korisliiga team Helsinki Seagulls (2015-). He has also been a member of the WTB-league, euro-cup and Korisliiga team Loimaa Bisons training staff (2013-2015) as well as the Korisliiga team Torpan Pojat medical staff (2006-2012). During his studies to become a sports masseur Aleksi gained experience by working in Veikkausliiga football team HJK and SM-liiga hockey team HIFK (2005-2006). Additionally, in his private practice since 2011 he has worked with a wide range of athletes from golf and tennis players to CrossFit, weightlifting, and track&field athletes.

Aleksi is also a trusted professional within the Finnish national teams. He has worked in the Finnish National Basketball team Susijengi medical staff in the World Championships (2014) and European Championships (2013 & 2015) as well as in the Finnish youth National Basketball team medical staff (2011-2012 and 2017-). With the Olympic teams he has represented Finland during European Youth Olympic Festival (2017) and Universiade (2015).

Aleksi is also a clinical teacher of Osteopathy at Metropolia University of applied sciences in Helsinki.

During his career, Aleksi has helped hundreds of athletes to lead a healthy, pain-free and balanced life. He understands the typical injuries and pain patterns of an athlete and has a variety of tools to treat them. He is also very experienced in rehabilitation of various injuries. However, as an osteopath he is especially skillful in recognizing dysfunctional behaviors and excessive load and strain to the body already before they develop into pain or an injury. With his wide expertise he is able to tailor assessment and treatment according to individual needs, both in the field of professional sports as well as everyday life.
